The Opportunity of a Lifetime

New role opens up @ Ritholtz Wealth Management

Hope you’re all enjoying the summer. I’ve been writing less and trying to enjoy these months more than I have in years given how fast the days go by. If you’re following the podcast and YouTube channel you’re up to speed on what I am seeing and saying in the markets each week. I’ll be back at it on downtownjoshbrown.com come September.

In the meanwhile, I want to tell you about a special career opportunity that’s opened up at Ritholtz Wealth Management. I will be personally involved in the search for this person given the nature of the role we’re hiring for.

A few years back we made the decision to fully commit to the Multi Family Office space. We had too many people coming to us in search of family office services and our offering for the $7 million to $25 million household - which we call The Preserve - didn’t include all of the things that the ultra high net worth family requires.

We brought in an amazing professional to head up the Ritholtz MFO, Taylor Hollis. Taylor is based in Nashville, TN and had spent the early part of her career at a prestigious trust bank helping families with eight- and nine-figure fortunes manage their financial lives. She specializes in areas of wealth management that aren’t relevant (yet) to clients in our flagship wealth tier and she brings an incredible amount of experience and detail-orientation to what we’re doing for these families and situations.

But we’ve been too successful in this arena, too quickly. Taylor needs help. In order for us to maintain the high-touch service we’ve become known for, we’re going to be growing her team. Taylor now has dedicated support on the administrative side, in tax, in estate planning, etc. What we need today is someone to work alongside her as this service tier within our firm continues to attract new clients. I’m putting out the Bat Signal today to let you know that, if you fit the qualifications we require, we might be about to change your life. If you work with ultra high net worth families and you’d love to explore bringing your talents and experience to Ritholtz, this is your chance.

We are now seeking a Relationship Manager for the Ritholtz Wealth Management Multi Family Office.

Below is a full job description along with the qualifications necessary to apply for the role. Geographically, we are only considering candidates in the following metropolitan areas as this is very much an in-person position: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut (the Tri-State area) as well as the cities of Boston, Charlotte, Chicago or Nashville.

I want to make it clear that candidates outside these metro areas will not be considered for this specific role at this time. For the RM role at our MFO, physical proximity is going to be crucial in this endeavor.

I also want to emphasize the fact that if you are not currently meeting the qualifications we list here, this is not the role for you. Differently qualified financial advisors are welcome to talk to us about other opportunities at the firm. If you have a story to tell about your career and what you want for yourself and your clients, we’d love to hear it.

Please read through the opportunity as we describe it and let us know if you are the MFO advisor we’re looking for. Candidates should apply via [email protected] immediately. Thanks!
